The third edition of the Saskatoon Corporate Challenge is over and we congratulate Thirty6 Events and all the participants for making this one the best ever. We’ve been privileged to participate in the Challenge since its inception. Not only is it a fun event for everyone at WMCZ but we appreciate the chance to renew acquaintances with friends on other teams as well as meet new ones.
How did we do? Well, we didn’t win. But we didn’t finish last either. Trivia Night was one of the highlights when we came out victorious over the other 23 teams. We were also happy that our video didn’t drag us down too much so that we could win the Spirit Challenge for the second year in a row. We unfortunately came up short in events that actually required muscular activity or athleticism. We’ll have to adjust our recruiting accordingly. But we’re happy to report that our assistant Geni Peng, who suffered a gruesome injury on the Dodgeball court, had successful surgery on her thrice-broken ankle and she’s eager to get back to work.
The competition is secondary to the fun and the cause, of course. We would like to congratulate Stantec who repeated as winners. We’d especially like to commend the organizers who raised just under $30,000 towards the Children’s Discovery Museum. We’re already looking forward to 2015.
