WMCZ U Is Here!
After over a year of planning and producing content, “WMCZ University” will begin its first two weeks of classes on Monday, representing a novel approach to legal training and skills development.
WMCZ U is a comprehensive curriculum of courses held throughout the year on topics which are not traditionally taught in law school. From the first session on marketing, through other subjects such as using technology, time management and more, our employees can attend classes which will help them be more capable and effective in managing their practices and solving client problems.
The WMCZ U curriculum has been developed by our Director of Boundary Pushing, Craig Zawada, Q.C. The initial courses, each a half day in length, coincide with us welcoming our 2017/18 articling student group. Monthly sessions will continue through the year. Although our articling students are an important focus, the classes are available to everyone in the firm.
WMCZ has also obtained approval for Continuing Professional Development credits from the Law Society of Saskatchewan for many of the courses. This helps our lawyers achieve their minimum CPD requirements while taking the classes.
WMCZ U is a groundbreaking step in legal education and we think it raises the bar for lawyer training.
