Community Involvement

At Lakefield, it is important to us to give back to the community we are so grateful to live and work in.

Our lawyers and staff regularly volunteer for causes that are important to each of us individually, such as Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, Saskatoon YWCA, Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, and countless others. Our lawyers also offer their expertise on various crown corporation, for-profit and non-profit boards such as Saskatchewan Research Council and Saskatoon Crime Stoppers, and will lend their legal services to organizations such as CLASSIC, Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan and NSBA. In addition, we are always first in line to support community events such as the Kinsmen Sports Celebrity Dinner, B’nai Brith and Silver Spoon, with sponsorships, attendance and donations.

As a firm, we choose a cause to focus on or an organization to partner with, typically on an annual basis.

For 2021, we are excited to be a major supporter of the Pegasus Project, an initiative created by STARS Air Ambulance to raise funds for their life-saving helicopters.

Several local businesses pitched in to custom build a 1968 Ford Mustang 427 Coupe, which is being toured throughout Saskatchewan this summer and will be auctioned off in January of 2022 at the prestigious Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ambassadors for this Project include actor Kim Coates, former Humboldt Bronco Kaleb Dahlgren and hockey greats Brayden Schenn, Luke Schenn, Jayden Schwartz and Tyler Bozak.

Lakefield LLP is title sponsor of the Lakefield LLP Rolling Raffle, which will raise funds by selling tickets for a grand prize trip for four to Scottsdale to attend the Auction, along with many more exciting perks.

We couldn’t be more proud to be involved in this amazing local cause, which has such a direct and profound benefit to the residents of Saskatchewan. Check out the Pegasus Project website to learn more and stay tuned to the Saskatchewan roadshow!
