About Mike

Mike became a Partner at Lakefield in 2018, and has been with the firm for more than two decades. The loyalty reflected in his resume is found in his work — Mike works diligently and passionately to provide the best possible counsel for his clients. He specializes in bankruptcy and debt collection, employment law & labour law, and litigation. He is adept at providing advice and representation from formation through to termination of relationships for both employers and employees. Having litigated  in the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal, and in the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, Mike understands the full potential in each case.

He’s also heavily involved with many legal entities, including the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Center for Professional Legal Education, Lorman Education Services, and their local counterparts. Aside from his varied legal accomplishments, Mike is the author of The Battle of Vimy Ridge: Wall of Fire, published in 2009. As a history buff, Mike would love to travel through time, meeting historical greats like Julius Caesar.
